Altruistic surrogacy exists to give a child to a couple or individual who cannot carry a pregnancy themselves, through a surrogate who receives no commercial payment beyond her medical expenses and insurance, as set out under Indian law. Legal & Ethics
India regulates surrogacy under the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, which permits only altruistic surrogacy — the surrogate receives medical expenses and insurance cover, but no additional payment. Eligibility rules for intended parents, including for NRIs and foreign nationals, are specific and have changed in recent years.
Because of this, we do not begin any medical procedure until our legal team has confirmed your eligibility and prepared the required court-approved documentation.
